I love the new portal. The look of it is stunning and just the greatest invention in the world. Today I found out that if you put a skylander, magic item, etc on top of the trap area it will read the item there. This is perfect if you are playing with big characters and 2 players, your characters are on the portal while a magic item can be on the trap area. Of course it requires that there not be a trap there but you get the idea.
